Web site review #4 – Mitchell Warren

This Web site serves as a beginners guide to any digital photographer.  Although some of the wording could cleaned up a bit, I found many great tips and suggestions.  The site goes beyond just shooting photos and tells you how to fix common problems using Photoshop.

I would recommend this site to anyone who is new to photography and also has Photoshop.  If you do not have Photoshop, the site is still a great starting point for fixing some of your problems.

One technique shown in the guide was really cool.  The author shows how Photoshop can combine two pictures into one.  Through this process, the author created an image that would have been impossible with a film camera.  In this image, the author took a picture from inside of a room looking out a window.  By doing this, either inside the window or outside the window had to be either over or under exposed.  When combining the two images, both indoors and out were exposed correctly.

I want to try this technique out.

The article can be basic at times, but it is very practical and hands on.  Anybody that needs a brush up on technique should look at this site.

The best part of this site is that it has been created by a beginner.  This is nice because he keeps the terminology simple.
