Article Abstract #6 and #7

My first article ( http://thepioneerwoman.com/photography/2009/11/what-is-metering/ ) is another photography tutorial from the Pioneer Woman. It details an aspect of shooting manually, called metering. Metering simply means controling the amount of light your camera takes in per exposure. The author of the article does a good job of explaining a rather complex feature as simply as possible, but admits that metering can be radically different on different camers and that her tutorial may only be of use to a very few with her same camera model. Still, the article does a good job of explaining the basic concept and giving rough guidelines that anyone can follow.

My second article ( http://www.wired.com/reviews/product/pr_datacolor_spydercube ) is actually a product review from Wired.com. The product being reviewed is DataColor’s SpyderCube calibration tool. Remembering our class discussion about the difficulty in obtaining a standard color from file, to screen, to printer, I thought this article might be of interest to some. For a $60 utility, Wired gives the SpyderCube a decently good score with an 8/10. Their only problems with the product was its ridiculous size and form factor, making it awkward and not very portable.
